The employees of the tourist-ecological police of the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region successfully intervened to stop the spread of a forest fire and protect natural habitats near the village of Zhylyu-Bulak, located in the Tyup district.

This situation was reported by a Turmush correspondent.
During their patrol, the inspectors noticed plumes of smoke rising from the forest. Strong winds contributed to the rapid spread of the fire. Understanding the seriousness of the situation, the employees immediately began to extinguish the flames to prevent significant losses to the forest area.

They used all available means: shovels from their service vehicle, as well as soil and water from the nearest source. Thanks to their efforts, they managed to stop the spread of the fire over an area of about 30 hundredths of a hectare of forest. By the time the firefighters arrived, the active burning had already been completely suppressed.

“Every second was important. If we hadn’t acted immediately, the fire could have spread deeper into the forest, and the losses would have been enormous,” shared platoon commander Adyl Ishenbaev.

The tourist-ecological police remind citizens of the need to exercise caution in forest and mountainous areas: do not leave campfires unattended, do not throw cigarette butts and smoldering coals, and clean up your trash.
