The head of the cabinet emphasized the significance of this day in the context of the history of Kyrgyz journalism, pointing out that it was on November 7, 1924, that the first issue of the newspaper "Erkin-Too" was published in the Kyrgyz language. Since then, this day has been celebrated as Information and Print Day.
Kasymaliev noted that in the modern digital world, information acquires special value.
"Today, information is not just a way to exchange news; it is a powerful tool that shapes public opinion," he emphasized in his address.
According to him, media workers play an important role in establishing a connection between the state and citizens, and therefore they bear significant responsibility for the accuracy and objectivity of each piece of news.
"Through your words, you strengthen trust and shape the public consciousness and worldview of people. We highly appreciate your work in objectively covering the activities of government structures, business, and society," added the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Kasymaliev also emphasized that the development of the media sphere requires adherence to professional standards, critical thinking, and the ability to adapt to the rapidly changing information environment.
