Skirdov Vasily Danilovich (1929),

Russian. Born in Altai Krai.

Graduated from the postgraduate program at KSU.

Worked as a teacher at the secondary school in Naryn, senior lecturer at the Przhevalsky Pedagogical Institute, rector of the Frunze Pedagogical Institute, rector of PIRYAL, vice-rector, head of the department at KNU named after J. Balasaguni.

Specialist in comparative typology of the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. As one of the first linguists from Kyrgyzstan, he lectured at universities in Dresden, Leipzig, Berlin, Prague, and other cities in Europe.

Awarded Honorary Certificates from the Supreme Council of the Kirghiz SSR.

Honored Worker of Education of the KR. Honored Teacher of the GDR.

Published over 220 scientific works.
