Starting from March 2, 2026, citizens of Kyrgyzstan planning to leave Iran will be able to use a new route through Turkmenistan. This information was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, citing data provided by the Turkmen side.
The following border crossing points are available: "Badzhgiran" — accessible only for holders of diplomatic passports, as well as "Artyk" and "Saraks," which are open to all holders of civilian passports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that if citizens have any questions, they should contact the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in Turkmenistan or directly reach out to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.
