At the livestock market of the rural district of Sary-Özön, located in the Sokuluk district of the Chui region, an astonishing trade deal took place. A sheep was resold four times without leaving its spot, resulting in nearly a twofold increase in its value.

According to information provided to Turmush by local traders and witnesses, the resale process unfolded as follows:

- first deal: a farmer sold the sheep to the first reseller for 46,000 soms;

- second deal: the new owner immediately resold the sheep for 60,000 soms (+14,000);

- third deal: the next buyer valued the animal at 74,000 soms (+14,000);

- fourth deal: the sheep was purchased for 90,000 soms (+16,000).

Thus, the same sheep changed hands four times while remaining in the same spot at the market, and its price rose from 46,000 soms to 90,000 soms.

This case sparked lively discussions among market participants. Farmers expressed dissatisfaction, pointing out that such resellers contribute to rising prices for livestock and meat, making them unaffordable for ordinary citizens.

At the same time, experienced sellers noted that such cases are more of an exception than the rule. They explained that resale is always associated with risks, and sometimes animals have to be sold below their cost price, so the current profit only covers past losses.
