Recently, Deputy of the Jogorku Kenesh Tabildy Muratbekov has come under criticism for his proposal to raise tariffs on drinking water. Many citizens disagree with his initiative.
Moreover, he pointed out that many use drinking water for watering gardens and performing household chores, while in other countries, people plead for every drop.
"You know that the water problem will become one of the most serious global threats in the future," Orunbekov added.
He also emphasized that the current costs of maintaining water supply in homes are not justified. "Before condemning the elected representative for raising the issue of tariffs, each of us should think about more careful and rational use of water," he concluded.
