The military prosecutor's office has initiated criminal proceedings against Urmatbek Shamyrkanov, who previously held the position of Minister of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the "Kabar" agency, citing relevant sources in the prosecutor's office.
As part of the investigation, a detailed examination of all reported facts is planned, after which a decision will be made regarding the legal qualification of the actions of the former minister.
It is worth noting that today President Sadyr Japarov issued a decree dismissing Shamyrkanov from the position of Minister of Emergency Situations, a role he held since February 19 of this year.
According to the president's press secretary, Askat Alagozov, the main suspicion against Shamyrkanov is bribery.
