In the Ton District, officers of the tourist-ecological police conducted raids and searches as part of measures to combat illegal hunting and fishing. This was reported by the Internal Affairs Department of the Issyk-Kul region.
During the inspections carried out in the villages of Ton and Kady-Sai, officers searched several private homes. As a result of the operation, the following weapons and ammunition were seized from local residents:
- From citizen O.I., born in 1980, residing in the village of Kady-Sai, 1 smoothbore shotgun of 16 caliber and 5 cartridges were found;
- From resident of the village of Ton J.O., born in 1955, 1 rifled firearm and 23 cartridges were seized;
- From another resident of the village of Ton J.B., born in 1956, 1 smoothbore shotgun and 23 cartridges were discovered.
Law enforcement officers once again remind citizens of the necessity to comply with legislation and the inadmissibility of illegal hunting and fishing.
