In 2026, the repair of 298 transformers with a voltage of 6–10/0.4 kV and the installation of 38 new devices will be carried out in Bishkek. This information was provided by the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise.
The main goal of these works is to enhance the reliability of the energy system and ensure stable electricity supply for the city's residents. During the execution of the works, specialists will check the technical condition of the existing equipment, replace old components, and perform necessary maintenance. The installation of new transformers will improve the quality of electricity transmission and help balance loads in the power grid.
The works will be carried out in the following electrical network districts:
- Eastern RES — repair of 113 transformers and installation of 25 new ones;
- Western RES — repair of 100 and installation of 3 new ones;
- Northern RES — repair of 85 and installation of 10 new ones.
It is also worth noting that the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise has a total of 2248 transformers on its balance, and all of them must undergo technical maintenance by the end of the current year.
