The work will begin in March and continue until November 2026. The funding for the equipment upgrade is provided by JSC "KUET," while the implementation of the projects is managed by the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise.
During the repair process, diagnostics of the technical condition of the transformers will be carried out, worn components will be replaced, and necessary maintenance will be performed. The commissioning of new transformers will contribute to improving the quality of electricity supply, balancing the load, and ensuring stable electricity provision to consumers.
The work will be conducted in the following districts:
• Eastern RES — 113 transformers are scheduled for repair, 25 new ones will be installed;
• Western RES — 100 transformers will be repaired, 3 new ones will be installed;
• Northern RES — 85 transformers are scheduled for repair, 10 new ones will be installed.
It is worth noting that the Bishkek Electric Networks Enterprise has 2,248 transformers at its disposal, and by the end of the year, all of them are expected to undergo complete technical maintenance and repair.
