The Bishkek electric grid enterprise is implementing a series of measures aimed at improving the reliability of electrical equipment operation. These actions include aspects such as repairs, maintenance, as well as the construction and modernization of power transmission lines, as reported in the company's press release.

According to the enterprise, a new high-voltage substation "Muras," operating at a voltage of 110/10 kilovolts, was constructed and put into operation this year.

The substation is equipped with modern devices, including:
• a power transformer rated at 40,000 kilovolt-amperes;
• gas-insulated switchgear at 110 kilovolts;
• disconnectors at 110 kilovolts;
• a complete outdoor type distribution device at 10 kilovolts (KRU).

As a result of the work carried out over the past 12 months of 2025, major repairs were completed:

* equipment at six substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kilovolts;
* 336 transformer substations (TP) with a voltage of 6–10/0.4 kilovolts;
* 26.7 kilometers of power transmission lines (PTL) at 220-110/35 kilovolts;
* 148 kilometers of PTL at 10–0.4 kilovolts;

Current repairs were also carried out:
* equipment at 47 substations with a voltage of 220-110/35 kilovolts;
* 1,917 TPs at 6–10/0.4 kilovolts;
* 560 kilometers of PTL at 220-110/35 kilovolts;
* 2,175 kilometers of PTL at 10–0.4 kilovolts;
* 891 kilometers of cable lines at 10–0.4 kilovolts.

As part of the reconstruction and capital construction plan, over the year:
• 2,850 smart meters were installed;
• 87 kilometers of power transmission lines were replaced with SIP-2 wires;
* 31 kilometers of cable lines were updated to modern cross-linked polyethylene cables;
* 32 kilometers of PTL were laid using SIP-3 wires;
* about 6 kilometers of cable lines were laid;
* the capacity of 33 transformer substations was increased.
