The electric grid enterprise of the Jalal-Abad region has completed a significant volume of work, including the modernization of power transformers at eight substations, as reported by the Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan.
List of substations with increased capacity:
• Bazar-Korgon (110/35/10 kV) – T-1: 16 MVA → 40 MVA
• Barpy (110/10 kV) – T-1: 10 MVA → 16 MVA
• Shamaldy-Sai (110/35/6 kV): T-1: 10 MVA → 16 MVA; T-2: 15 MVA → 16 MVA
• Kok-Tash (110/6 kV): 6.3 MVA → 16 MVA
• Gromadina (110/10 kV) – T-2: 6.3 MVA → 10 MVA
• Komsomol (35/10 kV): 10 MVA → 16 MVA
• Beken (35/10 kV): 4 MVA → 10 MVA
• Dzerzhinsky (35/10 kV): 2.5 MVA → 4 MVA
These works were carried out in a cascading manner to improve the reliability of the electrical network and ensure stable power supply for the population.
Additional measures:
- In the Bazar-Korgon and Suzak districts, as well as in the cities of Kara-Kul and Mailuu-Suu, 83 thousand "smart" meters have been installed.
- 540 kilometers of overhead lines 6/10–0.4 kV and 557 transformer substations have been repaired.
The Ministry of Energy reports that these activities are aimed at strengthening the reliability of power supply to consumers in the Jalal-Abad region. The growth in the number of new residential complexes, industrial, and social facilities in recent years has led to increased load and the need to enhance transformer capacity.
As a result of the work carried out, the stability of the electrical network in the region has improved, ensuring higher quality and uninterrupted power supply for the population and organizations.
