In the Jalal-Abad region, there is a shortage of 267 medical specialists, as reported by Turmush correspondent.

At a recent regional meeting, it was announced that there are currently only 1,596 doctors working in the region's medical institutions, of which 51 work in regional hospitals.

The shortage of doctors is noted in the following districts and cities:

Aksy — 36,

Suzak — 29,

Manas — 28,

Tash-Kömür — 11,

Toktogul — 26,

Mailuu-Suu — 20,

Nooken — 18,

Toguz-Toro — 11,

Kara-Kul — 12,

Ala-Buka — 8,

Chatkal — 11,

Bazar-Korgon — 5.

Tilek Tekebaev, the presidential representative in the Jalal-Abad region, urged local akims and mayors to intensify their efforts to address this issue.

He emphasized: "The issue of the shortage of doctors is regularly raised at meetings. Local authorities must focus on creating the necessary conditions. Coordinator, your task is not only to provide statistics but also to take action," he added.

The mayor of Kara-Kul, Nurtilek Orozbaev, reported that to address staffing issues, the city administration is financing the education of two students at the Medical Academy and also supports students studying at the Jalal-Abad Medical College.
