In the Jalal-Abad region, a plot of land that previously belonged to a tuberculosis hospital has been returned to state ownership.

An inspection conducted by the Jalal-Abad regional prosecutor's office revealed that since 2011, local residents had illegally built on part of the land that belonged to the tuberculosis hospital located in the village of Dostuk in the Suzak district. They constructed residential houses and outbuildings, using the land for personal needs.

As a result of this inspection, the prosecutor's office returned a land plot of 3.07 hectares to the state, with a market value of 32.2 million soms.
The village of Dostuk, which has over 1,800 residents, has one school, a kindergarten, and a medical and obstetric point. The school currently accommodates 540 students, although its designed capacity is 260 places.
