According to information from law enforcement agencies, a plot of land measuring 2.44 hectares, located near the village of Aral in the Chuy region, was illegally occupied by citizen D.A. The land was originally intended for pastures; however, the owner changed its category to "land for perennial plantings" and installed crushing equipment for processing sand and gravel mixtures, which violates both the intended purpose of the plot and environmental regulations.
Specialists from the State Enterprise "Kyrgyzgiprozem" and the Land and Water Supervision Service conducted an inspection, during which it was established that 0.41 hectares of land had been damaged, assessed at 1,118,424 soms.
On September 26, 2025, the prosecutor's office initiated a criminal case under Article 307 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Violation of the rules for the protection and use of mineral resources"), which was later reclassified to Article 212-2 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic ("Rendering land unsuitable for agricultural production"). The case was forwarded for further investigation to the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the Chuy region.
As a result of investigative actions, citizen D.A. agreed to return the land plot of 2.44 hectares, valued at 41,482,000 soms, and transferred it to the balance of the Chuy rural district. In addition, he fully compensated the damage amounting to 1,118,424 soms.
The investigation is ongoing.
