Lands Intended for Border Outposts Sold to Private Individuals in Batken Region

A check conducted by the military prosecutor's office of the Batken garrison in conjunction with the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic revealed that in 2001, land plots allocated for border outposts, covering an area of 2.59 hectares, were illegally transferred into private ownership, which contradicts the legislation. This was reported by the press service of the General Prosecutor's Office.

“As a result of the prosecutor's actions, these land plots, valued at 42.1 million soms, were returned to state ownership and transferred to the balance of one of the military units of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the statement said.
