The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan has announced the completion of preparatory work at the Issyk-Kul Electric Enterprise for the autumn-winter season of 2025–2026.
During the preparation, scheduled technical and repair work was carried out on energy facilities, power lines, and transformer substations. The main task was to ensure reliable electricity supply for the residents of the Issyk-Kul region during the upcoming cold months.
Among the activities carried out, the following can be highlighted:
- Maintenance of 4863 units of electrical equipment and major repairs of 436 units at 61 substations with voltages ranging from 35 to 220 kV since the beginning of 2025.
- As part of the work plan, 100.7 kilometers were overhauled, and technical maintenance was performed on 1422.6 kilometers of high-voltage power lines at levels of 35-110-220 kV. During the work, 6837 outdated porcelain insulators were replaced with modern glass ones.
- Since the beginning of 2025, technical maintenance has been carried out on 1222 transformer substations with a voltage of 10/0.4 kV and 1687 km of overhead power lines.
In addition, 211 km of overhead lines and 223 transformer substations with a voltage of 10/0.4 kV were repaired. During the repairs, 757 wooden poles were replaced with reinforced concrete ones.
Employees of the transformer repair shop also restored 105 transformers and cleaned approximately 26.2 tons of transformer oil.







All the listed works were aimed at successfully passing the upcoming autumn-winter season and improving the quality of electricity supply for consumers.
