The Minister of Energy inspected the progress of construction of the Orto-Tokoy Hydroelectric Power Station

During a working visit to the Issyk-Kul region, the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Talaybek Ibraev, inspected the construction progress at the Orto-Tokoy Hydroelectric Power Station.

Shakir Saidov, the General Director of JSC "Chakan HPP," reported on the current status of the project, noting that all work is proceeding according to the approved schedule. To date, 75% of the overall construction work has been completed.

He also added that the work on the water intake has been completed, which allows for water accumulation, and the 928-meter-long diversion tunnel has been fully excavated, with 624 meters already concreted.

Minister Ibraev emphasized the importance of adhering to the construction deadlines and instructed Shakir Saidov to strengthen control over the execution of the work.

We remind you that the capacity of the Orto-Tokoy HPP will be 21 MW, and the completion of construction is scheduled for the first half of 2026.
