In Karakol, a comprehensive modernization of the infrastructure is currently underway, aimed at improving water supply and sewage systems.

According to information from the city authorities, as part of an initiative supported by the Asian Development Bank, 680 linear meters of sewage networks have been laid. Additionally, concrete work on the wastewater treatment facilities has been completed. In the SMU town of the Pristan-Przhevalsk settlement, a tank with a capacity of 50 cubic meters has been installed, and 24 wells have been restored on the main collector. To enhance the efficiency of the water utility, specialized equipment has been acquired.

As part of the project by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the replacement and expansion of 32 kilometers of water supply networks is planned. Currently, the construction of 23 kilometers has already been completed, and the remaining 9 kilometers are expected to be finished next year.

The construction of a filter at the Kashka-Suu water intake, which provides a capacity of 12,000 cubic meters of water per day, has also been completed. A full rehabilitation of the "Western" and "Airport" pumping stations has been carried out, with all equipment replaced. For the needs of the water utility, additional specialized equipment has been purchased, and a contract has been signed for the installation of water meters for the private sector.

The city authorities are confident that these projects will significantly improve the quality of drinking water and enhance the reliability of the water supply system in Karakol.
