
Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev announced plans to provide 40 villages in Kyrgyzstan with clean drinking water by 2025, as well as to address water supply and sewage issues in three cities. He made this statement during the opening of a new municipal enterprise for drinking and wastewater treatment in the village of Ozgorush.
As part of this project, modern equipment was purchased, including five groundwater pumps and large-diameter water pipes with a total length of 500 meters. Additionally, bactericidal installations for water purification have been installed at the Paizabad and Orum reservoirs.

According to the official, work to provide the population with clean water continues at the national level.
The total investment in the water supply sector amounted to $556 million, and new drinking water supply systems are being built in 25 cities and 600 villages.

To date, work has been completed and facilities have been put into operation in 123 villages, while work is ongoing in 119 villages. Project documentation is being developed for 358 villages.
To address water supply and sewage issues in 156 villages and three cities, $275 million has been attracted. The implementation of these projects has already begun.
The Deputy Prime Minister also noted that $3 million in grant investments has been attracted for the preparation of technical and economic justification and project documentation for 179 villages.


Modern SCADA systems have been implemented in 11 cities and 4 large villages, and automated complexes for wastewater treatment are also being built. High-quality and energy-efficient pumps, alternative water purification systems, and unified engineering solutions are being used. Municipal enterprises are being provided with the necessary laboratory equipment and specialized machinery.
