In the Osh region, in Uzgen, preparations for the 2026 irrigation season are ongoing. According to the Ministry of Agriculture, large-scale activities are being carried out in the region aimed at increasing the capacity of irrigation channels and improving water supply for agricultural needs.
Currently, mechanical cleaning and channel cutting are being conducted on the Myrza canal, which is 6.5 kilometers long, and on the Kochkor-Ata canal, which is 2 kilometers long. Simultaneously, similar work is being carried out on the Kozu-Uulu canal, which also contributes to increasing their water flow capacity.
Additionally, the planned work for 2025 on laying a concrete surface over a length of 580 meters on the Kara-Zhyjach canal, covering an area of 3,895 square meters, has been completed. These activities are aimed at ensuring the reliable operation of irrigation systems and stable supply of irrigation water to local land users.
