In Kyrgyzstan, significant activities are currently being carried out to provide the population with both drinking and irrigation water. According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, this area is one of the key priorities of the state.

At present, construction work is underway in 119 villages across the country aimed at providing residents with clean drinking water. A total of 600 villages are included in the state program.

Work in the field of irrigation is also in an active phase: construction is ongoing at 14 water management facilities, while design work continues on 18 other facilities.

It is planned to construct 55 irrigation facilities, including pumping stations, canals, and other infrastructure, by 2026. These initiatives are aimed at supporting agricultural development, easing the work of farmers, and reducing the shortage of water resources.

In addition, meetings of delegates from the Kurultai with representatives of the Ministry are held every week, where the raised issues are discussed, appropriate decisions are made, and further actions are initiated. Project work continues without interruption.

All activities are under the attention of the President, and the Government of the country strives to accomplish the set tasks on time and with quality.
