The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic has approved a program aimed at improving pastures from 2024 to 2029. As part of this initiative, activities are being carried out to restore pastures and increase their productivity in the rural area of Shumkar-Uya, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the KR.

To enhance the quality of pasture soils and increase grass biomass, organic fertilizers "Grukhus" and "Nanakumat" are being used. The effectiveness of these fertilizers has been confirmed by scientific research from the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Pastures of the KR, indicating their positive impact on the condition of pastures.

The program forecasts the following results:

improvement of vegetation growth on pastures; increase in grass yield; enhancement of nutrient content in the soil; formation of a quality feed base for the development of animal husbandry.

These actions represent a significant measure for ensuring the sustainable use of pasture resources and supporting the livestock sector in this region.
