In the Panfilov district, major repairs are ongoing for the Upper Canal, which was built in 1949. This canal stretches for 16.2 kilometers and provides irrigation for 2,071 hectares of agricultural land. The operation of the canal is of strategic importance for local farmers, as it stabilizes and increases agricultural productivity. This information was provided by the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan.

As part of the project by the Panfilov District Water Management Authority, the installation of a concrete surface over a length of 700 meters is planned.

Currently, the laying of 400 meters of concrete pavement has already been completed. This innovation will help reduce water losses, improve the efficiency of the irrigation system, and provide farmers with the necessary irrigation in a timely manner. The completion of the major repairs is expected to significantly extend the lifespan of the canal and enhance the reliability of the irrigation system as a whole.
