In the Issyk-Ata district, in the village of Jaiylma, work has begun on laying a concrete surface on a section of the canal that is 2,700 meters long, which will allow for the supply of water to 150 hectares of agricultural land without losses.

This information was provided to Turmush correspondent Timur Nogoev, the head of the rural administration.

According to him, as part of the preparation for the irrigation season, the district water management authority is not only laying concrete surfaces but also mechanically cleaning the irrigation canals to ensure effective water distribution for farmers.

“Currently, we are laying a concrete surface on the P-24 canal, which runs through the territory of the Jaiylma rural area. This method has a long service life of up to 50 years and prevents the canal from being overgrown with vegetation such as reeds. This will ensure an uninterrupted supply of irrigation water to 100–150 hectares,” he added.
