According to a statement from the press service of the State Customs Service (SCS), during a working visit, Kasymalieva was presented with a modernization project aimed at improving the operation of the checkpoint.
The head of the SCS, Almaz Saliev, spoke about measures aimed at increasing throughput and optimizing border control. The modernization includes improvements to infrastructure, the creation of comfortable conditions for employees of regulatory authorities, and the implementation of modern technologies for cargo inspection.
The reconstruction project includes:
expansion of the checkpoint area;
installation of modern non-intrusive scanners;
organization of convenient parking areas;
improvement of conditions for participants in foreign economic activity.
The goal of this project is to accelerate customs procedures, enhance security levels, and ensure uninterrupted movement of goods against the backdrop of increasing trade turnover between the Kyrgyz Republic and China.
