As part of the initiated criminal case, the investigative department of the State Customs Service (GTS) conducted a series of operational-search activities. As a result, locations where the sale of unregistered mobile devices was taking place were established.
Employees of the GTS investigative department, together with the operational unit of the "Manas" customs, carried out controlled purchases and searches at 12 retail points and one warehouse under the order of the investigative judge of the Oktyabrsky district of Bishkek.
During the operations, 243 mobile phones of various brands were seized, including products from Apple and Samsung, which were not registered in the "EAIS" and "Smart Bazy" systems, confirming their illegal import.
Violations were recorded in places such as the TSUM shopping center, the GUM "Chynar," the Victory business center, as well as at a warehouse on Abdrahmanov Street. All materials have been transferred to the GTS investigative department for further investigation and action.
The customs service noted that the fight against illegal import and sale of goods is an important aspect of their work aimed at ensuring economic security and compliance with the norms of the Eurasian Economic Union.
