Work is actively underway in Bishkek to reconstruct and build new cable networks, marking a significant step in updating the city's energy infrastructure, according to information from the city’s electric network enterprise.
Currently, over 10 kilometers of modern cable lines have been laid, including key sections in the "Dordoi" market area, where there is a high load on the electrical networks.
The project "Modernization and Sustainable Development of the Electric Power Sector" includes the replacement of 10-kilovolt lines. New cables are currently being laid from the "Karagachevaya" substation to transformer substation No. 1339. This will reduce technical losses, increase the capacity of the networks, and ensure compliance with modern energy efficiency standards by transitioning to a working voltage of 10 kilovolts.
It is important to note that the modernization is particularly relevant for the "Dordoi" area, which houses large trading and warehouse spaces that require reliable power supply. The infrastructure upgrade will significantly enhance the stability of electricity supply for local businesses and residents.

During the reconstruction, modern cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation were used, which are characterized by durability and a high level of reliability.
As part of the project, it is planned to upgrade 80 kilometers of 6/10 kilovolt cable lines in Bishkek over the next three years. Funding is provided by the International Development Association (IDA) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).
