Tyuleyev added that the road has been widened by adding two new lanes, but some residents are expressing dissatisfaction, wishing for the section to remain straight. "We are ready to make changes, but it is already cold now. If the weather permits, we will try to complete the work this year; otherwise, it will be done next year," he noted. "We planned to open the section on December 6, but we delayed to ensure comfort for pedestrians. Currently, we are working on improving the road up to Ibraimov Street, although it was initially planned to complete the work only up to Shopokov Street," Tyuleyev added.
The road closure on the section from Abdrahmanov Street to Shopokov Street was introduced in May of this year as part of the underground passage construction in the Old Bishkek project. It was previously reported that the passage was supposed to open on December 1.
