In Bishkek, on Chuy Avenue, between Abdrahmanov and Ibraimov Streets, heated debates have erupted over the construction of the new Old Bishkek complex. Opinions are divided: some residents claim that "the original project is different, and a high-rise building is inappropriate here," while others express dissatisfaction that "the road has become narrower." In response to these concerns, the Kabar agency sought clarification from Nariman Tyuleyev, the project manager.
Tyuleyev stated that upon completion, this complex will become "the Kyrgyz Monte Carlo," and he asked the citizens to be patient. He noted that the project was approved by the city council. "The facade of the three-story building will be designed in the shape of a wave, as was initially planned. Old shops that spoiled the city's appearance and had been selling gold for 30 years have been closed. Their demolition was impossible as they were privately owned," he added.
At the beginning of the complex, a viewing tower will be built, from which tourists and guests will be able to enjoy the panorama of this part of the city. As for the road, its width has increased from 15 to 16 meters, with two additional lanes added, making it six lanes instead of the previous four. "We did not narrow the road; on the contrary, we expanded it. There will also be special 'pockets' for bus stops. An underground parking lot for more than 300 cars will be built from Shopokov Street," Tyuleyev noted.
"Give me another two months, and I will complete the project. If after that someone says that I did poorly, I am ready to redo everything," he added. Tyuleyev emphasized that the world is changing, and it is important to develop: "I have been to many developed countries; let us move forward as well. A modern complex should appear in the city center." He assured that this area will become a true Kyrgyz Monte Carlo, where residents can relax around the clock. "When everything is completed, you will see for yourselves. I just ask you to wait until the construction work is finished," Tyuleyev concluded.
