On November 13, as part of his working trip to the Talas region, President Sadyr Japarov participated in the ceremonial laying of the capsule for the reconstruction of the Kyrgyz National Complex "Manas Ordo."

According to the information from the press service of the head of state, attendees at the event were able to see a theatrical prologue dedicated to the epic "Manas," as well as a video presentation of the complex's renovation project.

According to the presented sketch, all buildings of the complex will be modernized, transforming it into a unique cultural space in Central Asia capable of accommodating up to 10,000 visitors daily, the press service noted.

The head of state emphasized that "Manas Ordo" is a sacred place that preserves the breath of the centuries-old journey of the Kyrgyz people, their traditions, and nomadic life, and that each stone of the complex reminds us of the greatness of the Kyrgyz, their moral values, wisdom, and resilience.

"The reconstruction of the complex is not only a tribute to our past but also a desire to preserve the sacred heritage of our ancestors for future generations, to restore eternal cultural values, and to strengthen the spiritual center of our people," Japarov noted. He also recalled the words of the famous writer Chyngyz Aitmatov: "We exist because we can remember the past and look to the future."

The president further added that the epic "Manas" is a spiritual treasure and holds the genetic code of the Kyrgyz people, their history, and way of life. "Only by following our roots and eternal values can we preserve and enhance our national spirit," he said.

Referring to historical data, Japarov reminded that this complex began to take shape in 1976 as a literary-ethnographic museum, and in 1990, the "Mausoleum of Manas" was opened here. During the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of the epic "Manas," it was transformed into the "Manas Ordo" complex.

Since then, no large-scale renovations have taken place, and the current reconstruction is the largest in the last three decades. "Manas Ordo" will not only be a spiritual center for the Kyrgyz people but also an attractive place for foreign guests, scholars, and tourists, the president noted.

On the territory of the complex, there are plans to build a modern congress hall for conferences, art galleries, guest houses, and an administrative building.

"The renewal of this spiritual center will contribute to the development of tourism and culture of the Kyrgyz people, as well as bring international recognition to the world of 'Manas.' This will enhance the prestige of Talas and the entire country," added Sadyr Japarov, emphasizing that the updated complex "Manas Ordo" will become a symbol of the revival of the spiritual culture of the Kyrgyz.

After this, the president visited the mausoleum [kumböz] of Manas, and a memorial prayer was read.
