What to expect after 'Times Square' and 'Monte Carlo'?
Against the backdrop of public discontent, the building of the 'jewelry center', being erected by Nariman Tyuleev in Bishkek, near the underground shopping complex 'Old Bishkek', is increasing in size. This was reported by readers of the publication Vesti.kg.
“An extension was quickly built on the eastern side. It seems the builders decided that the lack of response from the city hall to citizens' protests opens up opportunities for additional construction. The silence of the authorities is indeed puzzling,” residents of Kyrgyzstan share their opinions.
For reference, in the center of Bishkek on Chuy Avenue, the underground shopping complex 'Old Bishkek' is under construction. At the corner with Abdrakhmanov Street, where a pedestrian zone and flower stalls used to be, three floors of the new building, which will become the 'jewelry center', have already been erected.
It was previously planned that a pedestrian underpass would be built at the site of the current construction work to improve the traffic situation on the avenue. Later, it became known about the construction of underground shopping areas, but there was no information about above-ground structures.
Nariman Tyuleev later responded to public discontent and stated that new projects similar to 'Times Square' and 'Monte Carlo' would appear at the construction site.
