On this day, not only the roads but also the sidewalks in the vicinity of Victory Square were closed. Local residents reported that access to the Eternal Flame area was completely restricted for pedestrians.

Law enforcement officers established a cordon, and the area bounded by Chuy Avenue, Ibraimov, M. Frunze, and Shopokov Streets was closed to all traffic.

Eyewitnesses noted that buses, unable to follow their usual routes, were forced to detour around the closed sections.

It is worth noting that Victory Square had been prepared in advance for the wreath-laying ceremony to be conducted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
