As part of the Old Bishkek project, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Committee for National Security Kamchybek Tashiev stated that the road next to the "Chynar" shopping center will not be narrow. He made this statement during his visit to the area today.
Tashiev noted that the main task is to address the common problems of residents, rather than to satisfy the interests of individuals.
“By the order of President Sadyr Japarov, if the project was developed in the interests of only one person and ignored the needs of the people, everything must be returned back. I have taken this issue under personal control. The president indicated that if the project conditions were violated, appropriate measures should be taken. He said: 'Go and see for yourself,'” he recounted.
According to Tashiev, the project originally stipulated that the width of the road should be 20 meters, but in reality, it has been reduced to 16 meters, which is a decrease of 4 meters. The project must be implemented in its original form. “Remove the protrusions on the road. It should be straight from J. Abdrakhmanov Street to Shopokov Street,” he added.
Additionally, he mentioned that buildings that were approved as two-story had been unlawfully reconstructed into three-story structures.
“Why did you add a third floor when the building was originally approved as two-story? You added a floor under various pretexts. If the decision states two floors, it should remain so. Demolish the third floor,” Tashiev demanded.
He also expressed his opinion about the fountains in front of the "Aychurek" trading house in the city center.
“There was a fountain before, and it should remain. Recreation and walking areas must be preserved. Everything that is provided for in the project must be fully implemented,” he emphasized.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the need to consider criticism from the public, noting that without this criticism, projects may be implemented according to someone's personal desires.
