The new building of the Mailuu-Suu RES has been put into operation

The opening ceremony of the new building of the Mailuu-Suu RES, which has become part of the Jalal-Abad branch of OJSC "NESC", was attended by the Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic, Talaybek Ibraev.

Speaking to those present, the minister noted that creating comfortable conditions for energy workers is an important step towards improving the quality of customer service.

“Today is a significant day for the workers of Mailuu-Suu. Previously, they did not have their own premises and were forced to work in other offices while providing electricity to the population. Now they have a modern building, which will allow them to better perform their tasks. The main goal is to create decent working conditions to ensure uninterrupted power supply. We are actively working on updating outdated networks and improving infrastructure. This construction is part of the reforms in the energy sector. The more comfortable the employees are, the higher the quality of service for consumers. We have many tasks ahead, and energy workers will continue to serve the people,” the minister added.

Prior to this, the Mailuu-Suu RES did not have its own building and had been operating since 1995 in the premises of a former kindergarten, continuing to provide electricity to the population.

In 2024, local authorities provided a plot of land measuring 3000 square meters for the RES. Over the past eight months, energy workers successfully built a new building and will now be able to work in comfortable conditions.

The new two-story building is designed for 45 workstations and includes two boxes for storing and repairing electrical equipment. The total cost of the project amounted to 22,450,000 soms, with financing provided by OJSC "NESC".

Additionally, the building that previously housed the former kindergarten has now been returned to the disposal of the Mailuu-Suu city administration. According to the enterprise, the Mailuu-Suu RES provides electricity supply for 8,000 consumers, including the Mailuu-Suu lamp factory, and employs 42 people.
