In the village of Zhyluu-Bulak, located in the rural district of Karkyra in the Tyup region of the Issyk-Kul region, they celebrated Nowruz. A special moment of this event was a remarkable phenomenon: when they opened the cauldron with sümölök, the outline of a horse's head appeared on the surface.

The locals perceived this as a sign of good luck and blessing. The village elders interpreted this event as a call for the unity of the forty Kyrgyz tribes under a single banner (tündük). "Preparing sümölök is an ancient tradition of our ancestors. We made it in honor of Nowruz with hopes for peace, prosperity, and abundance, adding seven different ingredients. In the morning, when the elders and mothers in white elecheks opened the cauldron, they saw the image of a horse's head, which was taken as a good omen," the villagers share their thoughts.

The residents of Zhyluu-Bulak are descendants of six clan branches. They decided to make the joint preparation of sümölök an annual tradition that will be passed from one clan to another, uniting all the villagers each year.
