When twilight envelops the earth, and the stars begin to sparkle in the sky, a special atmosphere reigns around. The descendants of nomads gather around a burning fire to preserve ancient customs and greet the night with good intentions.
Even in the silence of the night, the cauldron continues to simmer, symbolizing life itself...

And in this cauldron, sumolёk is being prepared.

***

The night dedicated to cooking sumolёk is not just a process of preparing food. The people standing by the cauldron are united by a common goal.
The cauldron represents the world, and sumolёk within it is the very essence of life.

It is prepared slowly; haste is out of place here…
Quick cooking never brings true flavor.

So it is with human fate: to become stronger, we go through trials, spending strength and courage to overcome difficulties.
A person faces challenges… And only those who do not break can preserve their essence, swim against the current, and fill each day with high meaning and noble purpose.

Sumolёk – the taste of patience and hope

***

Each hand that stirs the spoon in the cauldron of sumolёk symbolizes a desire.
Each desire is like a seed sown for the future. But not all seeds sprout. For them to give a shoot, soil, time, and patience are needed. Thus, Nooruz teaches us patience.

The laughter of children is the sound of the future. The blessings of the elderly are the wisdom of the past. The youth is the breath of the present.

Nooruz unites these three temporal categories: past, present, and future.
It is the cycle of time, a continuous flow of life...

And perhaps most importantly: Great Nooruz poses serious questions to a person:
— Are you ready for change?
— What steps will you take for your awakening?
— What goals do you set for yourself?
— What desires do you keep in your heart?

Nature renews itself every year, but a person does not always change along with it. For some, Nooruz is just a tradition, for others — a holiday. But for those who truly understand its essence, Nooruz becomes an internal rebirth.

If a person does not experience Nooruz in their inner world, the external manifestations of the holiday will change nothing. True renewal begins in the heart. It does not come from outside — it is born from within.

The spring wind touches the face… It is not just a movement of nature. It is the breath of time, telling a person: “You too are capable of taking a step towards renewal.”
That is why Nooruz is not an end, but a great beginning. It is the ability to say goodbye to the past with dignity, accepting it as experience, and to meet the future with an open heart.

Thus, Nooruz is not only a great holiday of nature. It is also the awakening of human consciousness, living in the embrace of this nature, on Mother Earth.

It is a great day when a person looks into their soul to sow the inner world with noble seeds.

The process of preparing sumolёk requires faith, time, and patience. On that night, when it seems that nature and man enter into an unspoken alliance, everything around is filled with a special celebration. And although the cooking process takes a long time, time seems to stand still — songs are sung, the melodies of the komuz resonate, and along with them, sincere wishes are voiced.

People ask for only one thing: to experience each year and every spring in prosperity, so that the earth may bestow generosity, and the coming days bring abundance and goodness.

The night when sumolёk is cooked seems to reflect the inner world of a person, and in this unity, everyone finds their innermost desire. Those who stir the cauldron during these hours turn to fate with the hope of changing their lives and directing them in a new course.

The truth is that a person cannot always change fate, but they can always change their attitude towards it.

Inside the sumolёk, wheat at first glance looks like an ordinary grain, but it symbolizes life itself.

It buries itself in the ground, hiding in darkness, but then strives for the light. So it is with a person: without overcoming difficulties, one cannot truly find their light. Sumolёk cooks slowly. It does not fight against time but learns to live in harmony with it. And this is an important lesson for each of us.

For a creative person, the most valuable thing is time. A true creator does not resist time: they patiently nurture their idea, the “seed” that seems to have appeared by chance, and carefully grow it within themselves, sometimes for months or even years. Then, whether a writer, poet, composer, or artist, they present their “ripe” creation to a wide audience.

It is no coincidence that they say: “Patience is gold.” A person in life strives to do everything, to see as much as possible. But the most valuable things in life are those that require time to mature. Just as in life, true love, genuine wisdom, and sincere faith do not arise instantly — they need time...

Stones are added to the cauldron, but these stones are not just stones; they are human desires. Sometimes some of them disappear, while others reappear, as if fate itself plays unpredictable games with us. But despite this, the most important thing is that a person must not stop dreaming and making wishes.

When the aroma of sumolёk fills the air and the cauldron is opened at dawn, a new taste emerges within it. It is difficult to describe in words because it is not just a taste — it is the result of a night filled with wishes, the fruit of people's faith.

A person constantly seeks something in life, as if striving for happiness, waiting for love, yearning for peace. But sometimes it turns out that everything we seek is right beside us. And sumolёk reminds us of this. A person's happiness, their bright life does not require something great; just one night when people gather together, sitting by the same cauldron, united by a common hope.

Sumolёk is a bridge between the past and the future…

During its preparation, the traditions of ancestors come to life and are passed on to future generations. It is the taste of memory.

Life is much like sumolёk. Sometimes it is bitter, sometimes sweet… At times long, sometimes complicated… But in the end, the taste of what has been experienced and patiently awaited always turns out to be truly sweet.

Sumolёk is a great symbol that carries a lesson for humanity. It teaches us to live without haste, to treat nature with care, to be patient, and to strive for unity.

Sumolёk is the mystery between night and dawn.
It is a sign of the transition from darkness to light. And even after the darkest night, morning always comes. Truth, time, fate — all these are laws of nature, contained not in a boiling cauldron, but in the hearts of the people sitting around it...
