The police of Kyzyl-Kiya began its history in the 1940s when its office was located in the territory of the Rudnik in the village of Kara-Kozu.
In 1975, the department was relocated to the dormitory of Lyceum No. 7. Due to a lack of suitable conditions, in 2002 it moved to the building of the former trading house of OsOO "Kairat" on A. Sultanov Street (formerly Yubileynaya), where it remains to this day.
The building was transferred from municipal ownership to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in November 2024. Major repairs began in May 2025, thanks to the support of President Sadyr Japarov and the initiative of the Minister of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel General Ulan Niyazbekov.
What's new in the updated three-story building:
- Comfortable workplaces have been created for employees;
- Modern conference rooms have been established;
- New hot water supply systems, showers, and modern toilets have been installed;
- The duty unit is now equipped with modern digital management technologies.
The opening of the facility took place on March 21, 2026.
The Kyzyl-Kiya Department of Internal Affairs includes the Karavan police station, established in 2013 to serve the settlements of Karavan, Jin-Jigen, and Ak-Bulak.
Currently, a plot of land measuring 3 hundredths has been allocated for this station, where the construction of a new building has already begun. It is expected that the construction will be completed and the facility will be put into operation in the second quarter of 2026.
