The construction began in 2013 with the support of sponsors but was halted due to a lack of financial resources.
According to the district state administration, a new project was prepared last year to complete the construction of the building.
“In order to complete the construction of the facility, which had previously been stopped, in 2024 the village administration updated the project. The total estimated cost of the gym amounted to 11.8 million soms, and funding sources were identified:
- Stimulus grant from the Ministry of Finance — 5 million soms
- Development Fund of the Jalal-Abad Region — 5 million soms
- Local budget — 1.8 million soms.
“Based on these funds, a tender was announced on May 22, 2025, following which the contractor chosen was LLC 'Emirkhan Company'. A contract was signed for the amount of 11.2 million soms. To date, the construction of the gym is 90% complete. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for December 10 of this year,” the institution reported.
