
The tournament, which will be the 37th in its history, will be held in Krasnoyarsk from January 29 to February 1. At this competition, 20 sets of awards will be contested for participants in both the men's and women's tournaments.
The tournament organizers reported that, at the moment, wrestlers from 16 countries have submitted their applications to participate.
The final composition of the women's team of Kyrgyzstan will be determined later.
It is worth noting that last year, in 2024, Kalmira Bilimbek kyzy, Zharkynai Nurlan kyzy, and Nurzat Nurtayeva won bronze medals at the Ivan Yarygin Cup. In 2017, the gold medal of the tournament went to Aisuluu Tynybekova.
The Ivan Yarygin Cup is an international competition in freestyle wrestling, featuring both men and women. The tournament is named after the famous Soviet wrestler, a two-time Olympic champion who also achieved success at the World and European Championships.
