Kyrgyzstan Athletes Won 4 Medals at the Youth World Championship in Serbia

The national team of Kyrgyzstan in sports wrestling has completed its performances at the youth world championship held in Serbia.

The competitions for athletes aged up to 23 took place from October 20 to 27 in Novi Sad.

The Kyrgyz team consisted of 23 wrestlers representing both Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling among men and women.

As a result, the Kyrgyz athletes won 4 medals: one gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Nurzat Nurtayeva achieved victory and became the world champion in the weight category up to 72 kg, while Ömürbek Asan uulu won silver in the weight category up to 61 kg.

The bronze medals were won by Bilol Sharip uulu (weight up to 65 kg) and Gulnura Tashtanbekova (weight up to 68 kg).

The Greco-Roman wrestling team was unable to win any medals at this tournament.
