Kyrgyz athlete Asan uulu Omurbek has won a silver medal at the U23 World Wrestling Championship taking place in Novi Sad, Serbia. This was reported on the official UWW website.
In the final match of the 61-kilogram weight category, our compatriot lost to American wrestler Jackson Patrick Forrest with a final score of 12:17.
In the previous rounds, Asan uulu achieved victories over athletes from China, Bulgaria, Albania, and Turkey, with an overall impressive result of 47:3.
It is also worth noting that another representative of Kyrgyzstan, Sharip uulu Bilol, will compete for the bronze medal in the 65-kilogram weight category.
