Deputy Bolot Saginayev raised the issue of the dire condition of the facility, addressing Kazybek Moldazhiyev, the director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture, and Sports. He noted that while many sports facilities are being updated, the condition of the Sports Palace leaves much to be desired.
“The Palace has an Olympic-standard swimming pool. It could be renovated, a football field could be created, and a bathhouse could be opened... This could become the basis for self-financing the facility,” the deputy suggested.
The head of the relevant agency confirmed that Sadyr Japarov had instructed the renovation and reconstruction of the Palace. The status of the facility will remain the same. The Mayor of Bishkek, Aibek Junushaliev, has been tasked with finding funds to carry out this work.
