The women's volleyball team of Kyrgyzstan is taking an important step by participating for the first time in the Nations Cup organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).

As reported by Sport AKIpress, the Volleyball Federation of Kyrgyzstan noted that this participation became possible due to the team's high ranking.

In the past two years, the national team has won the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) tournament twice.

Currently, Kyrgyz volleyball players hold the 62nd place in the world ranking and the 10th place in Asia.

The Asian Nations Cup features the 12 strongest teams from the continent: 7 teams that performed best in the previous tournament and 5 that qualified based on their ranking.

The event will take place from June 6 to 14, 2026, in the Philippines, where the teams will be divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group will advance to the "Final Four."

The remaining participants will compete for places 5 to 12.
