The most significant achievement of the year is related to the debut of Kyrgyz volleyball at the World Championships. This event took place not in the qualifying competitions, but at the final stage itself.
The youth team (U-21) in beach volleyball among girls, representing Kyrgyzstan, achieved this success. The pair of Raza Rasulbek kyzy and Ayturgan Aitbekova actively participated in the stages of the Asian and World Tours, where 2066 teams competed.
The Kyrgyz athletes managed to rise in the world rankings and qualified for the World Championship, which took place in October in the Mexican city of Puebla, gathering the strongest 48 teams.
Rasulbek kyzy and Aitbekova secured their first victory at the World Championship and reached the playoffs, finishing in 17th place overall. Congratulations on a successful debut at the world level!
This year, the Kyrgyz team again marked successes at the zonal level. The women's team (U-19) went to the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Championship in the Maldives and won 1st place.
The adult women's team also competed in a similar tournament in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), where they took 3rd place and were awarded a bronze medal. This success allowed the Kyrgyz women's team to rise to 62nd place in the world rankings and 10th among Asian countries.
Moreover, due to their high ranking, the Kyrgyz women's team received the opportunity to participate in the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) Nations Cup, which will be held in the summer in the Philippines. This will be Kyrgyzstan's first experience at this level. Another debut!
The men's team "Bishkek" also debuted in the zonal CAVA Champions League, where they reached the finals and took 2nd place.
After this, the Kyrgyz national team rose to 68th place in the world rankings and 15th in Asia.
The high achievements of both teams create hope for participation in the 2026 Asian Games in Japan. The men's team has already competed in the games in 2018 in Indonesia, while this will be a debut for the women's team.
According to the Volleyball Federation of Kyrgyzstan, both teams may have the opportunity to participate in the tournament in Japan.
The championship titles of Kyrgyzstan in 2025 were awarded to the teams "Kara-Suu" among men and "Dordoy" among women.
Additionally, this year, competitions were held within the School League, in which 1540 teams participated.
More than 1000 teams took part in the youth league under the auspices of the Volleyball Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Furthermore, tournaments are held annually in the Mothers' League and the Akyns' League for age categories, including teams made up of players over 60 years old.
In December, three friendly matches organized by the Kyrgyz Volleyball League took place at the new "Zhashtyk Arena" in Bishkek. Over 3000 spectators witnessed the matches between the teams Kara-Suu and Suzak, as well as Youth against Veterans, and the classic confrontation of Nookat - Aksy.
