At the international ranking tournament in wrestling MUHAMET MALO–2026, which took place on February 27 in Tirana (Albania), Kyrgyz athlete Meerim Jumaanazarova won a silver medal. This was reported by the State Agency for Physical Culture and Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The athlete competed in the weight category up to 68 kg and began her journey in the tournament from the 1/8 finals. In her first matches, she confidently secured victories over two representatives from the USA: Destin Rene (11:0) and Solin Nicole Pirsi (10:0), which guaranteed her a place in the semifinals.
In the semifinals, she faced Turkish wrestler Nersin Bas, where she also showed an excellent result, winning with a score of 8:4. However, in the final match, Meerim lost to Bulgarian athlete Yuliana Yaneva, with a score of 0:2, ultimately taking second place in the tournament.
