
Kyrgyz wrestler Nurzat Nurtayeva won a silver medal at the international ranking tournament Muhamet Malo–2026, which is taking place in the Albanian capital, Tirana.
The athlete competed in the weight category up to 72 kg and showed impressive results throughout the competition.
In the first round, she achieved victory over Bulgarian Daniella Brasnarova with a crushing score of 10:0. In the second round, leading 4:0, Nurtayeva finished the match by pinning Indian athlete Reshma Mane. In the third round, the Kyrgyzstani again demonstrated confidence, winning against another representative from India, Diksha Malik, with a score of 8:0.
In the semifinals, Nurzat managed to defeat Polish wrestler Wiktoria Cholu with a narrow advantage of 2:1, which allowed her to advance to the final.
In the final match for gold, Nurtayeva faced Kazakhstani Jamile Bakbergenova, but lost with a score of 3:14, earning her the silver medal of the tournament.
