According to preliminary data from the National Statistical Committee, from January to September 2023, Kyrgyz citizens spent 423.3 million US dollars on vacations abroad. This figure is 1% lower than in the same period last year.
Experts in the tourism industry note changes in the preferences of Kyrgyz travelers when choosing vacation destinations. For instance, one of the leading travel agencies in the country previously reported that families with children often choose destinations such as Egypt and the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc. This is due to the convenient "all-inclusive" format, developed hotel infrastructure, and diverse entertainment options, which create comfortable conditions for vacations with children.
Among the youth, there is an interest in more active destinations. Popular places include Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai, where tourists are attracted by the vibrant city life, various entertainment options, and a lively nightlife atmosphere.
