Retro Journey to Soviet Kyrgyzstan

The capital of Kyrgyzstan was known throughout the Soviet Union as a garden city. This was no coincidence; even before the revolution, the marshy valley was planted with fruit trees. Thus, Frunze emerged, which later became Bishkek. The Kyrgyz seaside - this is what the resorts of Lake Issyk-Kul were called. It was here that the modest film studio "Kyrgyzfilm" shot the film "Scarlet Poppies of Issyk-Kul," which became a box office leader in 1973. What other symbols of that time does this republic hold today? We will learn from this material.
