The meeting of the Council of Commanders of the Border Troops of the CIS took place in Manas. Results

On October 30, the 91st meeting of the Council of Commanders of Border Troops (CCBT) took place in Manas, chaired by Army General Vladimir Kulishov, who is the First Deputy Director and Head of the Border Service of the FSB of Russia. Details of the meeting are available at the link.

Delegations from eight border agencies of the CIS countries participated in the event, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. Representatives from the Council's Coordination Service, CIS bodies, the CSTO Secretariat, the Executive Committee of the Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure of the SCO, and the International Union of Public Associations of Border Service Veterans were also present.

During the meeting, participants summarized the work done in 2025 and outlined plans for the future, including the organization of joint special border operations. The main topics of discussion included improving interstate information exchange, research activities, and personnel training. In addition, military personnel who demonstrated outstanding results in guarding external borders were awarded by the Council.

As a result of the meeting, twenty-two decisions were made aimed at further strengthening border security at the external borders of the Commonwealth and developing multilateral border cooperation.
